Photographer's Note
Cologne cathedral is almost impossible to depict when standing in front of it - the available distance is far too low for such a big building. So the photographer is well advised to stick to details.
There may some higher spires be found in christianity.
But this is the highest west side twin tower combination in the world: 157,38 m.
You get slain when looking up.

Hello Sven
You did well to take such an image. The hard contrast forces the eye to study harder. A very imposing POV. nice

Hi Sven, there is something wrong there,i don't know why i see a pic in color in the miniature of the gallery and a black and white opening the pic...very very strange,i will add a WS to understand. A great capture of the top of this famous imposing cathedral showing the best details of its style, well done! Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hi Sven
yes, very imposing indeed. It like standing at the base of a huge tree and looking directly UP. The lines just seem to go on for ever, interesting to see that WS photo as well - thats quite strange how its in colour. this one stands out well
cheers

Hello Sven,
Good option to show it in black and white, we do not need colors here. awesome view of all these small details in the walls. awesome presentation. I lived in Koln for one year and I often went to see the cathedral. Then, they celebrated the hundred anniversary of finishing it.
Kind regards Malgo
PS. Indeed, it is very strange, after I read Luciano's critique. In miniature, it is in color! Not so important, with the dark sky it also looks impressive.
