Photographer's Note
Bonn used to be the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany, still houses several ministries and has become the seat of several UN organizations. Regarding this importance, the main station with its only five platforms is rather small.
It was decided to keep it in decent state. The main problem was to thoroughly renovate the old platform hall with only few limitations to railway traffic. Its roof was constructed from wrought iron and wood - and not leakproof any more, with rain water dripping down from every corner.
Well, it took them several years to complete the work slice by slice and maintain the old visual impression.
The platform hall is ready now - but still not leakproof.

Hello Sven,
How could anyone pass by this photograph, without giving it a second look! It is an excellent example of using a long perspective, full of interest and leading to a strong vanishing point!
It's a fine exposure!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
