Hello Everyone,

Continuing with my theme of the Rhine, we came upon this tourist boat, called Moby Dick, moored on the Rhine riverside at Bonn.

We had just an afternoon to explore Bonn, which wasn't long, I admit, but I found this a most interesting and colourful introduction to the city.

I found the link to a book about a whale, most surprising, but then, Moby Dick is a very famous book.

Hello Bev,
This photo has a fine symmetry and the boat looks like it was specially chosen to be moored here and nowhere else. It matches the bridge's railings and the gate perfectly. The grey clouds go quite well with the wooden parts of the bridge.

Blue impression all over the picture, Beverley.
The gangway leading to the boat enable nice depth to the scene.

Hello Bev,

The Rhine has much nice places, you took the gangway on an original way, middle of the entrance.
In Belgium are different restaurants with the name "Moby Dick" of course fish restaurants.
You create nice depth on a short distant

excellent angle catching well the diagonals and the arches in blue metal around with the boat ahead waiting tourists.
here we had a very fresh sunny morning and an almost winter mood (in the summer), but the summer sun broke the effect few time after.

Hi Bev,
it is quite interesting that we have visited very different parts of Germany. Everything what you show is unknown to me, I mean I have not visited it.
Nice composition with the blue rails well framing the entrance. Bonn did not welcome you with great weather but you have recorder the sky very well. I like the blue matching color everywhere.

Hi Bev,

The small alley leads my eyes toward the doors qhich is giving depth to the composition. The point od view is showing the details of the tourist boat. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors, Have a nice day.

Hello Bev, Again, just one afternoon is too short to see even the most important places in Bonn, it is just an introduction. Nice view of this entrance to Moby Dick. I like the blue colours and symmetry. It would be nice to see the whole boat, it resembles a whale: https://www.mobydick-bonn.de/

It looks like a miniature version of the Rhine rail bridge. Good sharpness and excellent linear perspective. Tfs!
