Photographer's Note

The 'Bahkauv' (Brook-calf) is a mythical beast in Aachen. Although it is called calf it looks more than a cat, that has got scales instead of a coat. It molests drunkards on their way home from pub. It sits on their shoulders and gets heavier if they start to pray and it loses weight if they swear.
In the background you see to churches. To the left is St. Follian and to the right the cathedral of Aachen.
