Russian Chapel on Mathildenhoehe (for Scav Hunt VII. - A religious building at night)

The “Mathildenhöhe”, with 180 meters over NN the highest rise of Darmstadt City, was already in 19. Century a garden of the Grand Duke’s and was built in the style of an English landscape park in 1833. In the years 1877 to 1880 on the Mathildenhöhehe a water reservoir was built for the water supply of Darmstadt and in 1897 a Russian chapel.
