Neuschwanstein, a photo from Bayern, West

Photographer's Note

I have dreamt about seeing Neuschwanstein and making an awesome shot and finally I had a bad luck. There was a big queue so I didn't want to loose so much time, the view of the castle from one side was spoiled with a covering (restaration works), the best view is from the Marienbrucke - the small bridge over the precipy that I was not brave to go there, and also the weather was unfavorable. So it is the best that I managed in these circumstances. On the other hand, there are a lot of photos made from the best point but not even one of this courtyard.

witaj Malgorzata,
very nice the view as the presentation of the colourful facade of the castle that looks like as fairytale.The yellow towers create contrast in the image,with the clarity to be superb.
A bit of room above the upper part of the tower and the image would was much better,in my mind.

Bonjour Malgorzata,

Un bien bel endroit même si la lumière n'aide pas. Elle provoque une absence notable de contraste et adoucit les couleurs. Un cadrage intéressant.

It is a beautiful photograph - scaffoldings included. The two saffron towers green with conical spires on eithe side of the facade - The Palas front - is the point of focus in this photograph. (Its the upper courtyard that we are looking at). The colours are bright and clear. The saturation level is high - and hence the mural of St. George, though bright, looks a bit smudged. The three arched balcony is clear and elegant.
The stone bricks that make the walls of the castle so stately has been crisply taken and the buildings on both sides add to the balance of the composition.

Witaj Małgorzato,
Neuschwanstein to miejsce które również i ja bardzo chciałbym odwiedzić.Twoj pech czy tez zbieg okolicznosci sprawiły,ze mamy tutaj pokazany zamek z nowej,dużo mniej znanej perspektywy(przyznam się,ze w internecie widziałem jedynie panoramiczne zdjęcia tego pięknie położonego zamku).Tym bardziej cieszy widok z dziedzinca.Znakomita kompozycja z dobrze oddanymi detalami architektonicznymi oraz ostrością.Sama architektura tez robi wrażenie-połączenie wielu stylów architektonicznych,ale koncowy efekt naprawdę uroczy.

Rzadko prezentowany fragment tego zamku, zazwyczaj daje się bajkowy widok ogólny, dobry i ciekawy pomysł na zdjęcie

I thi k sometimes our own expectations are our own worst enemies. It is often when we set out with a firm idea of what we want that we feel disappointed. I th k however you have captured a very lovely detail of the inner courtyard you have captured the richness of architectural detail and the colours beautifully

Hi Malgo,
Still a very good and interesting capture, considering the circumstances. Maybe it is better to concentrate on a few details, in many cases. We have seen the castle itself many times (and in my opinion it looks like Walt Disney was the architect...) and this is a different view.

un ciel un peu laiteux et des lumières pas trop coopératives, mais malgré tout cela, le charme bavarois ressort très bien.

I have never seen a picture of Neuschwanstein's inside, so this is an interesting photo to me.
You still where able to get a very pleasing photo despise the rather unfortunate circumstances. Lovely architecture, pleasing colors and the scaffolding of the renovations is nicely hidden. The paintings on the wall and the two golden touretts are a good focusing point for the eye.

Czesc Malgorzata,
przy takim niebie nie mam motywacji zeby wyciagac aparat, niestety w podrozy tak czesto bywa. Moje ostatnie dwie wycieczki do Manchesteru a ostatnio rowniez wyjazd do Polski -wszedzie mialem takie niebo. Bez wzgledu na to jak piekne jest miejsce w takich warunkach nie robi wrazenia. Ja jak wiesz mieszkalem w tych okolicach jakies 4 lata a wiec mialem okazje z wieloma roznymi goscmi odwiedzic to miejsce, jak rowniez pochodzic po gorach dokola widzac zamek rowniez z gory. To wyjatkowe miejsce. Podobaly mi sie w zasadzie wszystkie zamki krola Ludwika. Ja jak wiesz lubie czasem powtarzac znane POV z tej prostej przyczyny ze skoro wszyscy tam ida to pewnie jest po co -i tak wlasnie jest tutaj: Marienbruecke i widok z tego mostku zapiera dech w piersiach. Ale wiem ze Ty masz lek wysokosci.
Twoja prezentacja ma swoj urok: to trupie swiatlo dodaje zamku atmosfery jakby z filmu o drakuli.

Tyle razy bylem juz w Fuessen i nie mam zadnych fotek. Swietna fotka zamku Neuschwanstein. Ja mieszkam w Heidenheim an der Brenz, jak bedziesz w poblizu to zapraszam.
