Odeonsplatz

This square on Munich is called Odeonsplatz. It is home to the Theatinerkirche, whose towers and dome could be seen in an earlier photo as well, and the Feldherrnhalle (Field Marshals' Hall). This summer, it was also the venue for a large art installation: it is called “Earthtime 1.26 Munich” and was made by American artist Janet Echelman. It is a a floating sculpture created from recyclable fibres.

Lep pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lep trg sa cvecem, velikom mrezom i arhitektura, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa posetiocima i prolaznicima.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.

Dobar tekst o korsicenoj tehnici i elementima snimka.

Hej Lars,
Installationen lyser verkligen upp torget med sina röda och blå mönster. Jag undrar on lyktstolparna som verket hänger från ingår i installationen eller bara har utnyttjats för det här tillfället. Det är liv och rörelse på marken, och speciellt gläder det mig att få se elektriska sparkcyklar någon annanstans än bara i Stockholm. ;-)

I remember this church and the gallery imitating that in florence too. a nice general view showing many details of the local architecture.

Mooi zomers plaatje met veel bezoekers en drie mooie gebouwen.
Ook hier heeft men de auto gebannen, en de vrijheid aan wandelaars gegeven.

Hallo Lars,
Odeonsplatz is vol leven en werd ook mooi opgevrolijkt met heel wat planten en bloemen. De kleurrijke installatie zorgt voor meer gezelligheid maar ik vermoed dat het vooral 's avonds op zijn best oogt.
De Theatinerkirche oogt heel imposant en bepaalt grotendeels het uitzicht van het plein.
Prachtige zomerse foto.

Hello Lars, When I was in Munich many years ago, my main observation was that they copied the buildings from other places. Here this loggia on the left side looks like loggia in Florence. Strange installation with this red and blue net. Very pleasant summer atmosphere. Many red flowers, people in red, who cares about Covid?

Hi Lars,
This is such a beautiful spot and yet not easy to photograph. The church is occasionally well lit by the sunshine but the Feldherrnhalle is facing north so it is always in the shadow. Nevertheless you managed the light and your photo convinces us that the place is spectacular. I like the presebce of lightly dressed people in the scene who give it a summer like touch.

Hello Lars, the art installation is quite different to anything that I have seen before, and not the easiest thing to photograph. It is placed in a lovely square with interesting buildings.
The red flowers echo the red of the artwork.

A good catch of this plaza with excellent sharpness and vibrant colours. The cyclists animate the scene. The blue and red sculpture resembles a giant fishing net. Tfs!
