Lindau

At the end of our afternoon in Vaduz, we crossed the Rhine into Switzerland and drove via Switzerland and Austria to the German town of Lindau. The historic centre of Lindau is located on a small island in the Bodensee (Lake Constance). This photo shows Maximilianstraße in the heart of the town.

Hi Lars,
There was just a couple of weeks between our visits to Lindau. It is a wonderful old city. This angle shows many nice details on the walls. And no doubt these people are enjoying relaxing holiday time.

Hej Lars,
Jag trodde du skulle stanna i Liechtenstein lite till, men det är ju onekligen lite mer liv och färg i den här gatubilden än i Vaduz. Det är en riktigt fin sommarbild: vackra hus. fint ljus och människor som njuter av solskenet.

I opened the map and I saw the canal shown in a post of kari few days ago, almost in front this town.
nice view of the street. those sculptures at right called my attention, for sure I would take some photos of them.

Een prachtige zonnige foto van Lindau met mooie huizen.
Het gebouw met het torentje rechts valt meteen op.
Het historisch centrum is op een eiland gelegen, schrijf je. Moet je er dan met een boot naartoe?
Het helder beeld, de scherpte en de compositie zorgen voor een schitterende foto.

I have to admit that I needed to check maps to find Lindau. It looks like a great old town to visit. A good photo of this old square lined with interesting buildings.

No wonder you used your camera here, for the scene is gorgeous, with this eclectic mix of tall buildings, surrounding the cobbled square and alive with people, enjoying the sunshine.
The contrasts of light and shade add extra interest.

Hi Lars,
one of my best friends comes from near the Bodensee. I never had a chance to visit this beautiful area.
This looks so picturesque. The little turret adds so much character.
I was first surprised that you so fast crossed to Germany but I suppose you have to make some choices.
Great light here, people enjoy the summer.
