Photographer's Note

Wendelstein (1838 m), a mountain on the first northern ridge of the alpine chain, offers a magnificent view over the Bavarian alpine upland as well as of the Alps themselves.
The summit can be reached by cogwheel railway from Brannenburg/Inn and by cable car from Bayrischzell. Connecting these possibilities by public bus is a nice alternative.
To the left: Wendelsteinkircherl, Germany's highest church (the are some religious buildings at higher altitudes, but they are only chapels) where services and weddings are frequently held in summer time.
