Photographer's Note

Travelling in times of corona brought us not only plenty of half-timbered houses, but also some state-of-the-art museums.

Our eastern neighbours Germany have quite a reputation for art museums and more contemporary kunsthalles. We visited plenty of them, admiring the old masters Cranach and Dürer, the ever present Corinth, the wonderful expressionists and contemporary heroes such as Gerhard Richter and Anselm Kiefer.

Luckily I'm blessed with two travel companions who enjoy art as much as I do, i.e. my wife and my daughter. This picture is dedicated to them.

This picture was shot in the Kunsthalle in Mannheim, a city we visited on a daytrip from Heidelberg, which was the second stop on our Rundfahrt.

PS: The tilt is intended. It makes the image a bit more dynamic, slightly more 'arty', if you like. :)
