Photographer's Note
2021
Let's hope that in 2021 the Covid 19 virus will be defeated and eliminated into a normal flu virus against which we can properly arm ourselves.
Maybe we will later look back to the bizarre 2020 and the years after as an important tipping point in the history of mankind, with a growing global understanding that radical changes were necessary to find a new balance between unbridled individualization and suffocating collectivity through equal optimal opportunities for individual education and development in a society based on global solidarity.
Therefore, today three photos where the future is central and the future is of course up to our children.
The blasting fireworks have been replaced by the softness of soap bubbles while retaining the beautiful colors.

Goedemiddag Rob,
Goed foto werk, bedankt.
Nog een prettige nieuwjaar,
John

Hello Rob,
These three photos are all delightful, especially the main one. It's so full of colours and attractive details and children expressing their joy of life. It radiates optimism during these dreadful days when death seems to be just behind our backs every day. This crisis has certainly reminded us of the many changes that have to be made to adapt our needs to the possibilities the world can manage. But will these children grow up in a still livable environment?
Anyway, I must send this to my collection of favourites.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hello Rob,
I'm amazed that you have been able to hold on to these photographs for so long, without sharing them! In the middle of a year, when social isolation was the name of the game, this photograph is full of fun!
These children were totally engrossed in bubbles and patterns and enjoyment; I would imagine, that just for a short time, their parents were forgetful of the pandemic, too.
I'm all for children being children and having fun, and you have captured their participation with excellent clarity and atmosphere.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

For a moment I thought you had a wondeful bright warm day today...
A nice summer take with the children enjoy the bubbles play. Vivid and vibrant take on the square, each of the bubbles shown clearly against the facade on the backdrop.
Have a nice first friday of 2021.

Hello Rob, three delightful pictures of children really enjoying the bubbles.
The sharp focusing throughout the shots is excellent.
We can see the rainbow of colours presented by the soapy film of the bubbles, and yet their transparency still allows us to see the background.
Who had initiated this lovely display of fun?
Fingers crossed that the lives of the children isn’t marred for too long by the virus.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Rob,
Joy of children really makes me smile! Lovely view of so many bubbles. Sheer amount of them somehow gives an impression that they are solid. And colour variations on them look really nice. Happy New Year!

Hallo Rob,
Paul

Hi Rob,
You have captured well the action of the children making sop bubbles. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings. The light is giving good colors output. Happy New Year.

Hallo Rob,

Hello Rob,
Happy New Year! What a great trio of bubble photos. Things look so "normal" in this scene, with children enjoying themselves, and people walking freely around. I know the COVID situation was less severe during the summer. The bubbles, children, and beautiful architecture are a great combination. Take care!

Hello Rob,
The children look like they're having a wonderful time with the bubbles. I remember as a kid grabbing the branch of a papaya tree and breaking it into a straw shape. The inside is hollow. So it's perfect for blowing bubbles. The sap is not poisonous & contains anti-cancer properties. Not that I ate the sap, although my concerned mother wasn't too sure if it was toxic or not. I know that oleander which grows all over southern Europe, is most definitely poisonous. And Angel Trumpet and Castor Oil trees too. Tfs!

Hi Rob,
I don't want to go to deep into discussion but my main worry is that human race seems to be going backwards. There is this movie "Idiocracy" which is not the best but it revolves around the concept of people getting more and more stupid. Somebody expressed it nicely while talking about phones: through them we have access to all knowledge of the world and yet we use them to share selfies.
Beautiful scene, or set of scenes here. Children play happily with the bubbles. All with a nice architecture as a background.
Beautiful daily life scene,
M

carefree and happy, two words that spring to mind here. Children love bubbles, they appeal to many ages, while the younger kids enjoy the chase the older kids think its, 'stoer' to burst them quickly.
A fine tableau, well exposed, set against typical German houses.

Hi Rob
Three great eye-catching photos. The bubbles add a lot of interest to the street scenes.
I really like your note too. Global solidarity is a dream that may never happen unless a lot of people in the more affluent countries want it. Let's hope...
Wishing you a Happy 2021.

Hello Rob,
Soap bubbles are very spectacular as a tourist attraction in many countries of the world. The size varies from small to very large and I like your bubbles size best. We adults admire them while children have a lot of fun.
An excellent photo of daily life as well as colors, light and sharpness.
Best regards,
Zbigniew
