Photographer's Note

The drizzle lasted my entire stay ... but I enjoyed the mood any way. The mist gave a softening impression as people, boats, and weather passed by at a slow steady pace. I did not mind sitting damp ... for boats of all sizes, loud, and soft, headed in to port or far out to sea. This was an active day - an adventure, and as the last of the big ships disappeared into the mist, I moved on and explored the wonderful, quaint little town and made it a special day in all.

I really liked this German port. It is a nice seaport resort and the northern most district of Rostock, a place I traveled by train to later that day. Boats here head for the great Baltic Sea in the northeast of Germany. The people are friendly, places for food, wonderful. I plan to return here perhaps next May, 2014. It has a sea coast I find very interesting in any weather.
