Photographer's Note

I have visited plenty of interesting destinations in Germany in the pre-digital times. For my daytrip to Rostock, I had already my first digital camera with me, but I had a terrible weather there with the boring white sky. All my photos appear as washed out of colors and quite depressing. I still wanted to show something from this charming town. You have seen the same fountain in Rob and Lars photos recently, but they showed it from different angles. I have captured yet another aspect of it with the building of University of Rostock in the background. The fountain is formally called Brunnen der Lebensfreude, the latter word translating as the joy of life, but due to naked statues sometimes in quite unambiguous positions it is locally know as the Porn Fountain.
