Photographer's Note

The big grinders of Pantin are part, with those of Corbeil and Paris 13th district, of the great infrastructures from the 19th century that were destined to feed the capital with flour from the vast agriculture regions of Brie and Beauce.

After the stop of the production in 2003, the site is left abandoned and its owner asks to the architects Reichen & Robert to conceive a modernising of the site and wuild a complex of 50 000 m2 of offices, respecting the initial architecture.

These offices are destined to the BNP-Paribas bank which should enter the site in 2009.
