Marc Elder Place, in which is a statue of Anne de Bretagne, carried out by Jean Fréour in 2002.

Jean Fréour is a Breton sculptor, from Bats-sur-Mer, born in 1919. Its 700 works, express the regionalism and the penetrated Breton identity of Catholicism.

Nantes is a French commune located in the department of Loire-Atlantique, of the area of the Pays-de-la-Loire, populated of 281 800 Nantes and Nantes, distributed on 65 km², Hab/km² is 4 325. In the years 1990, it was, among the large French cities, one of those of which the population the most increased with Montpellier, Toulouse and Rennes. The agglomeration exceeds 550 000 inhabitants.

"Anne de Bretagne" was born in Nantes on January 25 1477 of "François II" (1435-1488) "Duc de Bretagne" and of its second wife, "Marguerite de Foix", Princess of Navarre.
December 19, 1490, it is married by procuration with the future "Maximilien Ier", Archiduke of Austria, which will become Empereur Germanic Romain and, becomes thus of 1490 to 1491 Archduchess of Austria and queen of the Romans.
November 6, 1491 it is married with "Charles VIII" King de France and, becomes thus Reine of France of 1491 with 1498, but also Queen of Sicily and Jerusalem.
January 8, 1499 it marries Louis XII King of France and will be queen of France until 1514. "Anne de Bretagne" dies in Blois on January 9, 1514.
On her many children, two survived: "Renee de France" (1510-1575) and "Claude de France" (1499-1524) "Duchesse de Bretagne" and Reine of France in marrying François Ier.
After its death will be made the union of "Bretagne" with France on an edict of François Ier, King de France, in August 1532.
