Photographer's Note

Place des Vosges is the oldest square in Paris, dating to the early 17th century. One side houses a row of elegant shops and galleries; the sidewalk outside, under beautiful arches, is a popular place for musicians to perform. This man, part of a quartet, seemed particularly absorbed in what he was doing.
