Photographer's Note

A view upon the ski chalet on the Puy de Sancy,(1885m).
The day has started very sunny but clouds progressively move in,giving a very surreal feeling at the area. Now,I do not feel it necessary to have blue sky in order to make good photograph,as I have discovered how mood inducing clouds could be.I had a field day waiting for the sun to break up between clouds and searching the now lit area for a play of sun and shade. In the valley, lies the beginning of the town of Mont-Doré in the light with the main part of the city still under the shade.
Mont-Doré is a thermal station and a sport station.
The virtue of its water was known by the Gauls and eventually by the Romains.Back in vogue under Louis XIV.The water comes out of the ground at a temperature varying between 38 to 44oC.This kind of temperature makes one wonder how quiet are the old volcanoes here?
