Photographer's Note

After a very cold and grey morning, a hint of sun changed the whole perspective of the day. I took his shot yesterday on a walk locally to the Château de Landskron, just over the French border. It is a place I visit quite often, though have yet to achieve any decent photos of the place. I climbed along the ruins of a wall around the château to get this view. As the sky was a bit watery and bland I tried using various graduated filters, this one being the best result in my view. I tend to find that grad filters give rather too strong an effect and this shot was no exception - so I selected the sky area and desaturatured slightly to give a more subtle effect, hopefully. As ever, any comments much appreciated.
