Photographer's Note

8.56a.m. - Bonjour! So I am back after the holidays and just got over with the jet lag.
My holidays took me to Paris, but my first shot on this wonderful country starts in Lagny sur Marne a small, quiet and peaceful place on the outskirt of Paris. It was here that we spent our first day and was showered with the most amazing hospitality by a French family. Immediately after breakfast we went for a walk along river Marne. It was most refreshing and the much needed exercise we need to get our circulation going after being cramped like sardines in the plane for 12 long hours. The scenery that greeted us was most beautiful. Barges can be seen steaming by creating ripples on the otherwise calm river. Anglers sat along the riverbanks hoping patiently for the bite and the excitement while white swans and ducks roam the river waiting for someone to come and throw barguettes for their breakfast. You can see a shot of the swans in WS.
This shot shows the bridge leading to the other part of the town and I was told that just behind the shop houses is a railway station. A bird can be seen flying by, also enjoying the fresh morning air of Lagny. Lagny gave us a wonderful first impression of France and it will be treasured for a long, long time.
