Photographer's Note
The door mordelaise, restored in 1440, sheltered the home of the Captain and the meetings of the Body of City. With their first entry, the Dukes and the Counts of Rennes prétaient in front of this door, the oath to respect the rights and freedoms of Brittany.

Good perspective, I like the way the road runs diagonally and how you choosed a harmonic piece of wall as background through the opening. The chain gives some extra ambience showing that this is, or was, a liftbridge.

Bonsoir Martine,

Here is a nice old door with that chain which is simbolic for this old kind of the doors,woww,1440,...
The light well controlled and a fine result you reached, the colors are real and contrast is very good.
good depth and details, and very well composed, too.
I like it,good note Martine!

Hello Martine,
A very good composition, with an excellent POV peering through the arch. The clarity of the scene is remarkable, with both the masonry stones and cobblestones of the street so visible in fine detail. The chain in the foreground enhances. Very well done.

Excellente compo.
