Still flying southwards, you can see here the point where we leave the coast and turn eastwards, to fly along the Pyrénées.
It is the the Fort de Socoa, in Saint Jean de Luz (or rather Ciboure). Building started under King Henri IV, and this bastion was improved by Vauban, who added the piers.
The cliffs are also very interesting, because of their shape, that lead them to ba called the pile d'assiettes (plate pile), because they are stratified. There are numerous curious caves, as you can see on this picture, for the greatest joy of the divers.
