Photographer's Note

With much time to spare I am trawling through old digital photos. My next step is to scan some of our slides, of which we have hundreds.
This is once again Nice. This sculpture was outside the Negresco Hotel. We did say at the time that we had eaten at the Negresco, in truth we had a sandwich on a bench opposite.
Lovely memories.
The hotel was named after Henri Negresco who had it built in 1912.

Hello David, an interesting and colourful statue stood outside the hotel.
The sunlight has highlighted the shiny materials very nicely.

Hi David, hahahah .... so not a rich lunch at the Negresco but a sandwich on the bench, but it often happens to tell stories to friends when we come back from holidays ... hehe ... a really beautiful sculpture, with many colored inserts and very well made , a nice memory, among the first in digital, with super quality. This is a fine, sharp image, so representative of the atmosphere of Nice. However, it is your well judged close-up and good composition which gives the photogrph much of its impact.
