The two rocks ...
Two impressive rocks located on the Cayan Plateau and two photos taken from an identical POV. In winter a cross-country ski trail bypasses these two rocks and during other seasons gives way to grass and hiking trails.

I prefer the second one which
seems so impressive and romantic...
I love the snow which now covers
all the landscape

Very creative & it's good to see the difference between the two, though either image is good in its own right, however attention is on the huge rocks! The skiers is timely added to create good sense of scale. Excellent shot

I really like this series of "same place, different seasons". I haven't gone skiing for many years, but looking at those persons in the lower picture, the clean snow and the blue sky, it looks very tempting. Both photos are very attractive, and the large boulders are magnificent.

Hello Jean,

This really is an excellent duo, showing the seasonal contrasts at exactly the same spot!
The details have been sharply captured, in each case, so that we can appreciate the differences.
I like how the snow on the mountain slopes accentuates their rugged surfaces.

Bonjour Jean,
another great comparison of the two seasons. Those two rocks make a characteristic spot which made your job a bit easier here. Interesting central symmetry because there are also two mountains on both sides of the scene.
Funny title in this respect. I think you were standing in a different distance for the rocks on both occasions because although they appear of similar size the trees behind are of different scale indication a different zoom being used for two photos.
Having said that, the result is absolutely stunning.

Once again an excellent comparison between two very different seasons. It is a very nice view down the valley and those two huge rocks are very well placed on either side of the view.

How different are these two photos, depending on the season, ideal POV with the two slopes forming a V and in the background another higher mountain, the snow one seems ideal, with that beautiful sunny day.

Je me souviens encore de la photo d'hiver du passé.
Les deux roches sont également impressionnantes sur la photo d'octobre. Nous voyons d'autres rochers dans la vallée, mais ces deux sont certainement les plus gros.
J'ai l'impression que les sommets enneigés sur la photo d'octobre sont plus proches que sur la vue hivernale.

Seule la neige couvrant le pic central lointain a pu résister à ce changement climatique instantané!
Point de vue bien choisi pour un rendu agréable du décor majoritairement rocailleux.

Both photos look great.
This seems to be great region for hiking in all four seasons.
I have not seen much of the Pyrenees.Only from the street when I drove from Hossegor via Biaritz to San Sebastian in the late 70ties.
Great that you found the same POV again.
Did you had the summer/autumn photos with you to find the same place again?
