Photographer's Note

The bridge of Meung sur Loire with a dramatic sky after the rain
It is a suspension bridge that was first built in 1834
Fired by the French army on September 21, 1870, the bridge was rebuilt during the years 1872-1874.
the work was the subject of maintenance works, including the restoration of the piles in 1895 and strengthened in 1935

Great view over the wide river towards the silhouette of the bridge. The sky is wonderful, I like the dark clouds and the warm light from the right. Great photo!

Je vois que sur ta dernière page, tu t'es spécialisé dans le ciel, particulièrement des beaux couchers de soleil !
Elégante silhouette du pont sur la Loire.
Joli contraste entre le bleu au-dessus des nuages noirs et de la couleur dorée du coucher de soleil débutant.

Bonsoir Didi,

La longueur du fleuve crée de la profondeur. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du pont. La lumière a un bel effet sur les couleurs du ciel. Bonne soirée.

Superb low light with the spanning bridge is great for a picture and lovely the way it dominates the river scene but what a dramatic sky it is set against!
Nice bit of reed on the foreground gives one a true sense of depth. Light and colour is outstanding and great timing to get this gorgeous warm glow and mix of blue sky. Dark cloud lends this a perfect contrast. A peaceful image beautifully captured, Congrats

clearly, the larger version is much better - its clearer :)
we can also see many more details in it. i like how the bridge spans the frame and the arches it creates. atmospheric mood helps alot as well. cheers

Il doit neiger bien fort aujourd'hui pour que tu prennes le temps de venir faire un petit tour sur TE. Tu vis dans une très belle région et ce pont sur la Loire est très beau sous cette lumière.

Bonjour, cher ami Didi,
la faible lumière du coucher de soleil nous offre une image puissante et un peu mystérieuse, avec un ciel dramatique, où la Loire passe sous ce pont du XIXème siècle.
J'aime bien le grand contraste créé par les silhouettes du pont et du paysage sur les tons argentés de la rivière et les tons bleutés du ciel.
C'est une belle composition, très bien réalisée.

Beautiful bridge, I like how the structures form a great sillhoouete in these fantastic colors of the end of the day. The bushes on the foreground help in the depth of the composition. Well done, congratulations!
