Photographer's Note

Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste goes back to twelfth to the sixteenth century. It was at the end of the twelfth century, replacing a crude chapel, the Chaource primitive church has been built. The extent and quality of constructions reveal impressive, with the choir and the surrounding chapels. Renowned for its Entombment and gilded wooden crib, the church can be visited as a museum. Masterpiece made in 1515 by an unknown person called the Master of Chaource, the Entombment is a masterpiece of the Troyes School (Ecole champenoise).
