Photographer's Note

How’s this for a busy image?!! Because of the washed out sky, I decided on this point of view…but as you can see, it ends up rather cluttered unfortunately. I figured I’d at least make the most of it by including the adjacent kiosk and Paris map stand to link the two subjects together.

Although its official location/stop is Palais Royal, I prefer to call this “Mardi Gras Metro.” It may not have the same kind of surrounding festive atmosphere where women are flashing for cheap beads and thrills, but it sure has the same look as those bejeweled necklaces that are so drunkenly sought after. Once you descend down those steps and out of public street view, all bets are off though! Only kidding of course…or am I?? :)

I didn’t even realize this decorative metro stop existed until I saw it in passing while on a bus, from which I promptly hopped off to take a picture. Let it be known though, I did actually wait for the bus to arrive at its destination before doing so…I’m not THAT motivated! lol

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend everybody.
