In Avignon, the cathédrale Notre-Dame des Doms et Notre-Dame de Tout Pouvoir, also known as Métropole Notre-Dame des Doms, 12th 14th 17th, 1150, near the Palais des Papes.

The cathédrale Notre-Dame des Doms is romanesque style of Provence.
Its bell tower is surmounted since 1859 of a Virgin in gilded lead of 6 meters and 4500 kilogrammes.

Among the many wonders seen inside, an altarpiece representing a Entombment of Christ of the 15th century, 1431.

AVIGNON is a French commune located in the department of Vaucluse, of the area Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, populated of 89592 Avignonais in 2009, divided on 65 km², that is to say 1378 hab./km².

Avignon is located at the confluence of the Rhône river and Durance.
