Photographer's Note

This is certainly in the last third of the twelfth century the tower was built for one of the representatives of the family of Aragon, King Alfonso II of Aragon. It was for him, one of the richest feudal in Occitan, to mark its dominion over a territory eccentric he had acquired on the death of his predecessor. Military and political reasons have presided over so that this construction should be nearing completion around 1172, when we read that he has a palace in Millau.
Millau is a French region of Midi-Pyrenees. Located in the Aveyron department, which he is sub-prefecture, it is 70 km from Rodez.
