Photographer's Note

Well here you go, a bit of promotion for my hometown! By the way, why is Lyon written with a 'Y' although the city's emblem actually is the lion?
In fact, it supposedly comes from the Latin name of the city 'Lugdunum', that slowly evolved into 'Lyon' from the XIIIth on.
But why 'Lugdunum'? Maybe becauseof 'dunum', meaning the hill (we have two of them in the city) and 'Lux', the light of course...but all these are mere speculations...
Oh! The installation? This comes from an initiative from the city to promote itself. And it is being moved around the city. Not long ago, it was located on the Bellecour square and now it's here, on the Rhône river banks.
