Photographer's Note

Located west of Belle-Ile, on the wild coast, the needles are nearby Grand beacon sailors with its 111 km range ... Claude Monet painted them repeatedly. During storms, the needles are swept by the winds and the waves seem to wrap their foam projecting the scene of a cotton voile ... hence the name! In calm conditions, you may enjoy trying to identify the rocks with curious resemblance to the Mont Saint Michel, the Sphinx or the bust of Louis XIV ... Known, the location is often regarded as the most beautiful Belle Isle.
