Photographer's Note

On the way down from Bellevue Heights to Cirque of Gavarnie, a footbrige crosses the Gave des Tourettes. Gave is the name given to rivers, small and big ones, in Bigorre and Bearn areas (approximatively the west part of Pyrénées). By walking up the river before the footbridge just a few meters, you can see these very nice waterfalls. It was not the best moment of the year to see Pyrénées Heights really flowered (too early), but it was probably the best moment to appreciate waterfalls because the rivers was full of water thanks to snowmelt !
