The picture of the cemetery was taken from the bridge Rue Caulaincourt.

The Paris north cemetery – also called Cimetière de Montmartre – was put on after the restructuring occurred between 1818 and 1824 of the accommodation Montmartre in a former gypsum stone quarry and was opened on the 1st January, 1825. The entrance is in the avenue Rachel Nr. 20 in 18. Arrondissement.
