On the seafront on the edge of St Palais beach, astonishing giant peonies bloomed this summer. In the night version and illuminated, they are all the more beautiful.

Our peonies are in full growth at the moment but no flowers yet and I don't expect ones the size of these.

Hello Jean ,
I am not sure they are peonies but these big orange flowers on the beach look fantastic. What a fascinating place for locals and tourists. Superb night picture.

Bonjour Jean,
I remember you showing similar decorations but instead of flowers there were some geometrical shapes. I think it was the same town.
What I like here is the presence of people, who clearly enjoy the evening.
Nicely taken from the beach I suppose.

Hello Jean,

Normally, I would be saying the steps are too close to the centre line but, in this case it works. You would lose all these lovely, introductory textures if you cropped the f/g and the tops of the illuminated peonies, if you cropped the top.
The dark b/g, illuminated by the flowers makes a very cosy atmosphere, anyone passing would like to join in!
The tripod was useful to get such clarity on a dark night.

Jean, these artificial giant flowers replace the classic street lamps and provide a subdued light on St Palais seafront. Tourists and residents like spending time in that square by evening to relax and discuss. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hi Jean.
Within modern art, there are things that do not reach me, they leave me indifferent, such as the photo of the pebbles simulating waves, I don't see it ... but this work simulating peonies is very beautiful and indeed at night they look ideal and they illuminate that pass of the promenade, here art meets and I practice it.
Very good composition, magnificent presentation.
