Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

Just a little late posting, today, but we have been out for most of the day,

Please click here to see the larger much sharper version.

This is my second photograph of the Abbey at Bon Repos. My last shot was taken from the opposite side of the canal but this photograph gives a much clearer understanding of its setting.

You can see by the sky, that the weather was much kinder on this day.

The centre part of the building has been restored and contains all the information about the abbey. It is easy to imagine its former splendour.

To the left of the abbey is a building which sells crafts and in front of that are some replicas of ancient wooden huts. These were fenced off but I believe that they are erected and burned, each year, during the light festival.

For information about the abbey, please see my pervious post.

Thank you for your interest, Bev :-)
