Photographer's Note
Le Renard is a cutter with topsail, a replica of the last armed ship, in 1812 by Malo privateer Robert Surcouf (1773-1827).
Created in 1988, in a burst of recovery of maritime heritage, the association The cutter privateer - Le Renard's goal is to revive and use the cutter, cookie emblematic of the history of the city of Saint Malo.
Since its launch in 1991, the vessel involved, among other things, certain events of the most prestigious international sailing (Brest, Douarnenez, the week of Golf, Rouen ...). It may, on such occasions, be leased by individual as well as by groups (EC companies ...).
In addition, each year for educational purposes, Le Renard is also home to board the school children of the region to enable them to be aware of the values of the maritime world, and their history, and help them discover their heritage, the wide view.
