Pointe du Chateau, a photo from Bretagne, West

Photographer's Note

Another image from my week-end in Brittany.

The "Pointe du Chateau" (Castle Point) is a wonderful place full of granite rocks at the end of the Tréguier peninsula, on the territory of the city of Plougrescant.

The evening lights on these granite rocks are a superb spectacle if you have the chance to catch them in time.

Strange to see a beach with rocks and not sand. It looks you can't walk withou shoes there, is it?
Nice colors, I like the way the clouds moves.

Nice light on the rocks, Christian, makes the thumbnail pop up. Good POV showing a pleasant curve of the bay with a small island. At first I thought the grass in the bottom could be cloned out, but no, it gives even more depth to the view. I like this.

Excellent POV showing the nice light refected over the rocks. It's a great contrast with the rest of the soft colours of the shot. Beautiful sky also.

n'est ce pas que c'est une belle région la bretagne riche en paysage, une belle lumiére sous ce ciel et un cadrage bien trouvé donne cette photo agréable a regarder et remémore les souvenirs étant aller l'année derniere

Je vois que le fonctionnement du 5D est dans la poche déjà. En faisant un petit tour en Bretagne hors saison tu as pu faire de belles photo comme celle-ci.

Une tres belle prise avec ces eclairages si differents. La lumiere est si bien attrapee par ces rochers, le ciel si bien rendu avec ces longs nuages. Tres bon usage d'un angle large.

L'effet du grand-angle est ici le bienvenu. Il donne de la profondeur à ton image. Les couleurs sont magnifiques. Un seul regret, c'est cette très grande ouverture qui minimise la profondeur de champ. Cordiallement,

Super ton PDV à raz du sol, le cadrage est parfait et la lumière sur les rochers est très belle. Dommage que la moitié du ciel soit si blanche ! C'est une jolie prise.

The composition is superb with the waterline sweeping round as it does and the foreground interest in the form of the grass. The sky adds to the sweeping effect. Beautiful light falling on the rocks on the right.

Hello Christian,
On this kind of shots the light is always very important and you caught it beautifully here, specially on the foreground rock's. The contrast it creates with the dark sand results very well and is helped out by this impactful curve created by the beach itself. The rock standing in the middle of the photo is another good anchor for this photo and helps to balance the background and foreground.
It's a very nice composition inspiring us a great sense of peace.

Bonjour Christian,
On n'a que l'embarras du choix pour commenter tes photos. Elles sont plus belles les unes que les autres. Je jette mon dévolu aujourd'hui sur cette composition en S qui marie les 4 éléments : la terre, la mer, l'air et le feu symbolisé par la couleur flamboyante des rochers au coucher du soleil. Joli contraste de tons chauds et froids.
