Photographer's Note

An other view on Saint-Emilion, in particular on the bell tower that above the monolith church. It was built in many phases, from 12th to 15th century. It became higher each time ! Today it is close to 54 meters height. As I said in my previous post, you can climb top of the bell tower. You have to pay one euro at the tourist office and let credentials for the time you visit the bell tower. Then you will be given the key ... and a flashlight, since it is very dark in the main part of stairs ! You have to climn 198 steps to reach the top, so it is not very easy and a little tiring. But the view from the top really worths it. When I was on the top, some migratory birds were flying above the city (you can see a picture in workshop), probably coming back from Africa : spring is back !
