Photographer's Note

Pujols is a village and commune in South-West France in the department of Giromde (region of Aquitaine). It lies some sixty kilometres (37 miles) due east of the department and regional capital of Bordeaux overlooking the valleys of the Escouach and Dordogne rivers.

In 2011 it had a population of 595, a figure which has gradually shrunk over the years from a peak of 1012 in 1800.

In addition to the church of Saint-Pierre de Pujols, a listed historic building since 1846, it has a number of other attractive buildings that are of interest to the photographer.

The building shown here stands on the main square of the village.
