if you travel along the Bassin d'Arcachon, you may find in some oyster's harbours this kind of restored wooden-made boats.

If you look harder, insisting in some hidden places you may find wooden-made "plates" as well.

What is a "plate"? It's the traditionnal boat that are used by the oyster farmers. It's flat and long, that is the origine of the name. This special shape is due to the necessity of sailing even on low tide. Oysters never wait...
