Photographer's Note

Arcachon Bay is a mésotidale lagoon in the Landes de Gascogne, Gironde, between the cities of La Teste-de-Buch south, Lege-Cap-Ferret in the west and Leyre Delta in the east. Alone interrupts the dunes 250 km from the Silver Coast, which stretches from the estuary of the Gironde river Adour. Unlike large lakes Landes, it is widely open to the Atlantic Ocean through the passes of the Arcachon basin and is an inland sea 155 km ² at high tide and 40 km ² at low tide. We practice oyster farming, fishing and boating.
