Photographer's Note

Hossegor is a famous surf "spot" in the south west of France where many professional contests take place in summer.

The waves are powerful and the water isn't that cold although it's the Atlantic ocean.
The waves are so powerful and the stream can be so tricky that there are "life guards" (like in Bay Watch TV soap...) to watch over your safety. One can swim in determinate areas (in between 2 flags put by the life guards). The bodysurfers and "classic" surfers, like that one on the bottom left of the pic, can go anywhere expect in between the flags (obviously).

I took the pic in the late afternoon after a great day at the beach. The sun was low so it allowed me to take a picture which was not oversaturated. I liked the position of that surfer there. He's got an all of them surfers, no?...
