Eh hop ! A jump from the dune ... a dynamic scene taken on a beach of the Cap Ferret Peninsula, a place where dunes are "eaten" by waves during the last high tides.

Excellent timing and beautifully captured the jump, Jean.
Youngsters do such things all over - we saw two guys jumping off the old walls into the deep port water in old Acre, but when aimed to take a photo they did not jusp again.

I see the dunes very changed through the storm, every year a fight against the see and wind

Timing is essential on such a shot and you got it right. And I'm sure also the girl captured a good one. Nice to see the shadows too. Square framing fits well. Maybe you could have made a bit tighter framing.

Hello Jean,

I like the setting and I like the subject very much!
I would definitely have been eager to capture such a shot showing these youngsters have lots of innocent fun!
It's an action packed moment, frozen in time!

I think I would have been tempted to crop much of the sand to come in closer on the action, for you have captured them really well.

Hello Jean,
You know, I love dune. The feeling of walking on the sands and the dry grasses give a wonderful landscape .... well, I think it's not enough of dune grasses to stop the erosion.
I would do exactly what these people are doing. So much fun and the 'adrenalin' jumping from that height.
Ha!Ha! I don't see jumping down, I see a 'play-back' jumping up.

Salut Jean-Saint.

Looks like the southern corner of the country is already warm enough for the beach fun, even in the winter season, love it.

A spontaneous jump on a soft sand from a dune makes sense and good time, no much courage is required, it's safe, I think. A great composition and superb quality of the image. Have a nice Easter weekend!

Bonjour Jean,
very charming and so dynamic scene with young people enjoying the nature in a very particular way. In spite of being taken in February the people are very lightly dressed, I suppose it is a warm region.
I like dunes as well and I am almost as excited every time I see them as these your people.
