Photographer's Note

10.25 du mat', 30 août;
Le Moucherotte émerge...
De sa grise matinée, la mine satinée
Par un bon coup de brumisateur.
D'un long sommeil, sans rêve
Pour moi qui grimpai dans un petit nuage...

The Moucherotte is the uppermost viewpoint over the city of Grenoble, towering above it at 1901m. It can be reached after an easy two-hour hike from Saint Nizier du Moucherotte (1172m), 15kms and about 1000m above the punchbowl where we Grenoblois can rest when the night ends dusk. So it's the great favourite of both Grenoblois and S'nizards. No, no sneezing lizards hereabout, just how St Nizier's inhabitants are called.
Here the mountain awakes from its big sleep, in which he has been at least since gray Monday. I used my untrustworthy Canon compact, so the image couldn't have been any better, I assure you :]
I didn't have a polarizer, but this time, 'twas 10.25 AM, I had a moisterizer.
