I think the madness of this race with all those people is very well shown together with its appeal: the heroes so close by.

great to see you back posting a new photo, we need all the TE Members we can get!

in your photo we get a good sense of just how close the spectators are to the riders. Its quite intense and in your face. and it seems like everyone taking a photo is doing so with a phone, not a DSLR

Wat is dit lang geleden dat ik nog eens een foto van u zag.
Deze fot is zo herkenbaar met de gele trui drager aangemoedigd door vele mensen.
Prachtig foto werk de renner in volle actie tussen de vele mensen die soms voor gevaar zorgen voor de renner.
Goed gedaan, bedankt.

Bonjour Gerrit,

Je ne comprends pas pourquoi les spectateurs puissent approcher d'aussi près les cyclistes en pleine action. Surtout le maillot jaune. Une espèce de folie ou de transe démoniaque.

This is a spectacular photograph of a spectacular moment in time as the winner of the Tour de France passes through the crowds on his victory run. A fabulous capture with perfect split-second timing, brilliant colours and lots of action. And stunning technical quality too with perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.

Lovely shot. There is a lot of action in this picture. Seem to be more actions from the photographers and the supporters than the cyclist himself.
