Photographer's Note

A beautiful colorful sunset on the Saone, one of the two rivers running through Lyon, photographed by Bonaparte bridge. After a few hours it will begin the festival of lights, which i've already shown some pictures.

TRAMONTO D'INVERNO

Un bel tramonto colorato sulla Saona, uno dei due fiumi che attraversano Lione, fotografato dal Ponte Bonaparte. Dopo qualche ora inizierà il festival delle luci, di cui vi ho già mostrato qualche immagine.

A magnificent sunset with 41 views. There must be a lot of automated bots scanning it without comment. Good color and saturation and a nice warm cold color contrast between the blue and orange. Excellent sharpness and perspective too. Tfs!

La longueur de la rivière donne de la profondeur à la composition. J'apprécie le jeu entre les zones ombragées et les zones éclairée. Le coucher de soleil donne de belles couleurs au ciel. Bonne soirée.

The golden shine of the sky over water was divided by the dark two sides of the river banks, a strong contrast of early evening, Luciano.
A difficult task to balance and still maintain the true sunset colors. Did very well under these conditions.
I had prepared a WS with minor light adjustment - will post only if you will allow that.

Hi Luciano,

Upper part is good we can see sunrays but lower part is a bit dark and strange. One has to see carefully while assessing that it is a sunset (in absence of sun). A bit mysterious image though.

This is Nature's light show!
She has streaked the sky with amber hues better then most artists could do!
You have done a fine job of composing the scene, placing the silhouetted buildings and trees auspiciously to make an artistic separation of the sky and gently-twinkling, warm coloured water.

Hi Luciano,
That sky is beautiful. Thin layer of clouds show strong orange tones. And they are nicely repeated on the river reflections. Somehow this angle gives cosy small town impression, now quite the thing I imagine Lyon to be.

Hello Luciano,
The sky is fantastic and looks like it was painted. I also like the silhouette of the skyline and the reflections in the water. Personally I would have preferred some adjustments of the dark areas, to be able to see more details of the buildings and the street, but I guess it's a matter of personal preferences. I will post a workshop anyway and hope you won't mind. I saw that Ike also had prepared one.

l' aspetto urbano ed il paesaggio naturale sono combinati in modo discretto ed effettivo in questa immagine. Nel workshop di Gert molti dettagli sono rivelati e c' e' l' impressione di guardare un dipinto piu' preciso. Nella tua versione l' atmosfera e' misteriosa e credo che le parti ed i punti luminosi vengono piu' ricercati e significativi. Un' impressione accattivante. Complimenti e grazie!

A beautiful sunset. The colours in the sky are wonderful and the thin layers of clouds add a wonderful pattern too. The silhouettes of the houses and especially of the slightly lighter hill in the background are great as well.

Molto bella, il giusto equilibrio tra luce e ombre, con qualche raggio che ancora si riflette qua e là sulle rive e un cielo misurato, con sfumature dorate davvero piacevoli. E' un relax per gli occhi...

preferisco questa versione, con le parti in ombra più scure.
Belli i colori del cielo, danno colore anche all'acqua del fiume.
I tramonti sembrano sempre tutti simili, ma sono sempre belli e affascinanti, impossibile rimanere impassibili davanti a questi spettacoli.

very nice the sunset colour tints of the sky with the created reflections on the calmly surface of the river to make the image even more attractive.The dark silhouettes in the middle contrast perfect with the lighted sky.

very romantic scene from the famous French town. That must have been a lovely trip. Great POV which allowed you to take in the sunset sky as well as its reflection in the river in the context of the town. Amazing colors and cloud pattern.

Despite the "warm" colours, you've succeeded in conveying a chilly Winter scene. The town itself is practically a silhouette, which makes the sunset the rightful star of the show.

Beautiful photo, almost entering the night with the strong backlight of the banks of the river, but the sky still keeps the light and the wonderful colors of the sunset, which also tint with its reflections the river waters.

The colors of the sunset and their reflection on the water are beautiful, but the highlight of this image, for me, are the silhouettes in the background with different tones, which gives very good depth to the composition! Wonderful job!

Lyon is a city which I've seen so many beautiful photos of, I should visit one day. Great addition to have that rosey pink sky too. sweet shot

Luciano, you captured that splendid golden sunset from a bridge crossing the Saone river. Only some silouhettes appear due to the lack of light. Good memory. Fine colors, excellent sharpness, regards.
