Photographer's Note
Located on the western slopes of the Massif des Aravis, Grand-Bornand is a resort for summer and winter that has developed around an ancient village.
The village lies in a valley of lacustrine origin, somewhat flared where the village of Grand-Bornand developed. Instead the village of Petit-Bornand, located downstream of the river is narrow part of the Valley Terminal, a gorge.
The town of Grand-Bornand includes three major parts: the Bouchet valley, the valley Chinaillon and the village of Grand-Bornand located at the junction of two valleys. Bouchet valley lies further upstream of the village during the terminal, it takes its name from the fact that it is entered [ref. necessary]. The Chinaillon, it is more in height, he concentrates most of the activity winter sports. The village of Grand-Bornand, meanwhile, is the heart of this ternary system.

Hello Valérie,
This is a scene of mystery and mystique. Initially in the thumbnail version I saw only a B&W shot, but then in opening up the full size version, I could see the subtle green hues in the trees. The snow visible in some opening adds a lovely highlight.
Warm regards,
Bulent
