Bird's eye view to Aiguille du Midi
I would like to invite you to have a look to the Theme
Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix
____________
Wikipedia:

____________
The Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m) is a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps.
The cable car to the summit, the Téléphérique de l'Aiguille du Midi, was built in 1955 and held the title of the world's highest cable car for about two decades. It still holds the record as the highest vertical ascent cable car in the world, from 1035m to 3842m. It travels from Chamonix to the top of the Aiguille du Midi – an altitude gain of over 2,800 m – in 20 minutes. An adult ticket from Chamonix (as of March 21th 2009) is €40 return.
The Aiguille summit contains a panoramic viewing platform, a cafe and a gift shop. The Vallée Blanche ski run begins here, and the nearby Cosmiques Refuge is the starting point for one of the routes to the Mont Blanc summit. From the Aiguille another cable car (summer months only) crosses the Glacier de Geant to Point Helbronner (3,452 m) at the Italian side of the Mont Blanc Massif. Point Helbronner is served with a cable car from La Palud, a village near Courmayeur in the Aosta Valley (Italy).
The name "Aiguille du Midi" translates literally as "needle of midday". It is so called as the sun sits directly over the peak at noon, when viewed from Chamonix.

This is really an outstanding shot! Even tghough I believe there's a domninant blue and slightly overexposed I think you did well in publishing this amazing view.
Maybe I like it so much because I'm afraid of hights, don't know... ;)

Hi Achim!
Fantastic shot of fantastic place. It seems to me extremely difficult to build the structure on such place. The view must be astonishing from there... Incredible place..

Nice picture, Achim. Very good POV and I think you had optimal light conditions to make the shot, also the air is very clear here. I know the place, been there as well. Your shot makes me dizzy!
Cheers

hello Achim, Which marvellous feelings you have to feel on the ground by discovering a subject like that Ci, the colors and the light sound just, a splendid depth in the image which is besides the major element of this composition, the decoration is imposing, the words miss to me to praise technical qualities of them, sincerely

The vertinigous perspective is excellent, though I would recommend decreasing the blue slightly, I remember being there in august 15 years ago and there was so much snow around, it's sad to see the snowpack disappearing over the years.

Hi Achim,
I have been many times to this place and curisouly I have never come to shoot from this PoV but I think it works quite well, the piton seems to be floating over the valley far below, nice idea.
Have a nice day,

Hallo, Achim,
I like this photo and the way how you have done it, with a magnificent POV that shows the depth to us of the valley of Chamonix, with the infrastructure of l'Aiguille du Midi and all its surroundings.
The panoramic one from this observatory is impressive, I know it, I have there been in several occasions, and your photo me remembers it pleasantly.
The shade of the platform and the antenna is very well combined with the rest of the image, it gives a good reference us.
The people seem insignificant ants compared with the immensity of those mountains.
Great shot.
Regards,
Josep

Hallo Achim!

Hi Achim,
sharp and clear. It gives me the impression of being one step to far and missing part of the ground.

Bonjour Achim

Hello Achim. An impressing view. In addition the saying of another photo occurs to me on treakearth: "I would like to be a bird". The photo is perfectly composed and also technical protruding. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Achim!
Unusual, unique, wonderful and very attractive viewpoint of the "Aiguille du Midi"! When I was there - in Chamonix-Mont Blanc, I was supposed to go up there, but the weather was bad and I could only go to other lower places! It must be fantastic up there, with good weather!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, composition are all excellent!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan
