Photographer's Note
It is the significance of TAE KWAN DO, ancestral martial arts codified in Korea in the Fifties.
Taekwondo is introduced in France in 1969.
Affiliated successively with the French Federation of Judo and Disciplines Associated (F.F.J.D.A) then
with the French Federation of Karate and Martial arts (F.F.K.A.M.A),
it has since 1994 its own federation and autonomous:
the French Federation of Taekwondo and Associated Disciplines (F.F.T.D.A).
From 1988 to 1994, it passed from simple discipline associated to official Olympic sport in Sydney (2000).
This photograph presents one of the many finales which proceeded at the time of the cup of Savoies 2006 in the sporting center of Chamonix,
on the initiative of the local club of Taekwando-Hapkido, Mont Blanc Do Jang, section of the club of the sports of Chamonix.
