Photographer's Note

Preaps a come back ! nothing again Trek but no time enough...
I met Porteplume who is staying in my town; so we planned a little trip to some famous sites. I want to thank her for the trip (it's always a new discovery even if I know these landscapes by heart); I leave it to her to show you the landscapes, my personal look is more focused on details.

the hamlet of Fouillouse, Upper-Ubaye many houses are in ruins ... this village (from the family of the Abbé Pierre) was full of people but the rural exodus has taken its toll there ....
This window was likely a stable on ground floor, above a residential floor and two further barn to store hay for livestock; winter is long at 1900m altitude.
Now the local economy is oriented towards tourism (a gite in the village and a refuge in altitude / many ski touring or walking and climbing too) and a towards pastoralism with sheep transhumance in Provence during winter.
