Photographer's Note

Névache, Hautes-Alpes.

Between Drayères and Laval refuges, the landscape of the Upper Clarée becomes grandiose. The path climbs gently into a landscape of alpine meadows. The cries of marmots accompany us. The last larch trees still colonize the slopes, but not for a long time.

The peaks that surround us are called Rock of Béraudes, Pointe des Cerces, Rocks Crépin. Their sharp silhouettes set against a deep blue sky. Hikers are divided between two parallel paths, located on either side of the Clarée. Thanks to this, I could enjoy a beautiful light both during ascent and descent. In short, a paradise for hikers and photographers!
